About Dr. Misty

Dr. Misty Gibson received a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2020 (yeah, THAT year) which allowed her to pursue her dream of teaching, mentoring, and supervising counselors-in-training from a place of neurodivergent-affirming practice and education. Alongside of teaching at her alum, Antioch University Seattle and adjunct teaching at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology, Dr. Misty owns and operates her group practice, FlowArt Therapy.

FlowArt Therapy's focus is on serving the mental health needs of neurodivergent and queer folx, and Dr. Misty has a specialization in Sex Therapy (she is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist!) so she also works with folx who are in open relationships, polyamorous, and relationship anarchists, as well as folx in the BDSM community.

About Michell

Michell Brockman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state. She received her Master's in Clinical Counseling in 2022. Michell is a neurodivergent human that understands the struggles of living in a world that has neuronormative expectations.

She works alongside Dr. Misty at FlowArt Therapy and enjoys
working with neurodivergent adults, those in the LGBTQIA community, people in the kink and BDSM communities and those in polyamorous and ENM relationships. Michell is a trauma-informed therapist who enjoys using EMDR, parts work and somatic body-focused therapies in her practice. She has always wanted to be a therapist (and an artist, and now she is both!) She is always learning and creating and loves sharing her knowledge.

Dr. Misty and Michell began working together when Michell reached out to FlowArt Therapy to inquire about a clinical internship. Michell worked at FlowArt Therapy throughout her internship and associate licensing under Dr. Misty's supervision, and now continues her work serving neurodivergent and queer folx alongside of Dr. Misty as her colleague and professional partner. Over the years of working together, Dr. Misty and Michell have found that they both have a strong passion for advocating and bringing awareness to more people in the world about the amazingness of being neuordivergent and queer, which has led to their development of FlowArt Learning, FlowArt Academy, and their podcast, Neurosparkly.
